A few of my favorite things

I call Rio Vista, California home, though I’ve been fortunate enough to call quite a few places home over the years.
By day, I’m an accounting professional. Photography is what happens when I get to shut down the spreadsheets and use the other side of my brain.
โ
I picked up my first professional grade camera in 2016, a gift from my brother, and started with landscape photography. Honestly, I mostly spent those early years chasing light, figuring out my camera settings and taking a ridiculous number of photos until I figured out what I liked. Landscapes are still one of my favorite things to photograph.
โ
In 2018, while my husband was deployed, I opened Crystal Clear Moments and started photographing people in addition to places. Somewhere along the way, this became the creative space that fits into all the other hats I wear in life.
โ
Outside of photography, a few things that feed my soul are traveling somewhere new, racing the sun, the view at the end of a hike, road trips without a destination, slow mornings, rainy days on the porch, cute plants, summer days on the Delta, the contagious laughter of children, caffeine and Dad jokes.
โ
And if you need a little clarity or peace, give the desert a chance. I’m a firm believer there’s something about it that puts everything back into perspective.
I 'm Crystal!
